These photo's are for your eyes Janie & dave postie do you remember at Basingstoke Rally our chat about these cans, the photo's are of what i have collected over the years. The J.F.FARWIG & CO. LTD is from 1924 and the ALEXANDER DUCKHAMS &CO. LTD New Process Oil is from 1931 there might be some older ones in the collection, these were easy to get at.

That's an impressive collection Rick.  Smiley
Are they difficult to find? What sort of price would you pay for them?

Like anything old and collectable yes they are getting harder to find. As far as price i have never paid over 10 pounds, you can pay into the hundreads for instance you have a chap up your way Mike Berry of Stratfield Saye Mortimer who travels the length of the country buying cans and garage contents at what ever cost, his is the largest collection in the country, the garage displayed in the Beaulieu Motor Museum is his work. Some of the more rarer cans in my collection were a pound or fiftey pence.

I've got an old red one but it's a bit boring - don't think it's got any writing on it.
