Its that time again folks.  And this month we have the B17s playing at the village hall in Crondall.  They apparently play a mean swing version of the Jungle Books' - I Wan’na Be Like You (The Monkey Song).

7pm - 11pm
£7 per person
children under 16 free
alcohol, tea, coffe, chips and burgers.

Usually a cd stall there, a raffle is drawn halfway through the evening and the people are welcoming.

I'd actually like to go to that one Janie, but really not well enough yet, plus absolutely no spare pennies & no transport -my faithful little Fiesta van's finally gone to the big carpark in the sky. I'm gonna miss it. Sad
So how about a couple of piccies for those of us that can't make it?

Managed to get my camera working again in time for last night.  A couple of classic cars in the car park last night, and three surprise visits!  Mr. Giant and his wife, and none other than Chevy Rick, bless him, all the way from Lymington.

The band - B17s - were excellent, they had two albums on sale last night, but sadly by half time, they had all sold out.  Sad  And yes they did their own "swing" version of "I wan'na be like you" from Walt Disneys, the Jungle Book.

I can honestly say in the 1 year that we've been going, the village hall was packed full and the dance floor had people jiving/strolling all night.  Roll on next month,   where Cat & the hot tin trio will be playing.  We had a taste of whats to come last night, and Cat is the female lead singer of the band.  She's gonna be good!

It falls on your garden/clearance day, and in the evening dave and I are off to Tigers 60th birthday (he's an ex manor cafe boy), but mostly frequented the blue hut in Basingstoke.
