Is this the cross flow motor you talked of fitting Shaun?
If you need standard Pop stuff, I've got a gearbox & back axle you can have.
How's the bodywork going?

Grizz was offered a crated french flattie last year for a grand, which is a lot but still within the "reasonable" price range.
Not doing hardly any overtime, will explain more when I next see you in person.
Birthday went well, Thai take away and plenty of fizz Grin Grin

Flathead V8 out of a french military vehicle I belive. A grand seems steep though, they were doing them pulled out of vehicles for something like 400 quid a while ago. Dont know who though, twas in a magazine. The few people who Ive met with flatties say that you had better enjoy doing head gaskets! We are gonna whoop ya ass in mankys super rover powered beast!    from my mate Steve who owns a jeep, He says "a grand seems cheap for a complete unit " You could always trade the lot against a tank

Loony, PD & I collected my Rover motor this afternoon. Thanks to Postie_Dave for the shout on that one. It came from a drag car a few years ago, though I don't think it's race tuned. It was bought to put into a Granada but the new owner found a Cosworth engine instead so it's been sat in his garage for the last 4 years.
We arrived at the guy's house in Basingstoke this afternoon in the pouring rain & he fired it up for us.
Wump, wump, wump, rooaarr, crob, crob, crob...
Oooh, it sounded damn good with just the headers on! Never seen an engine fired up like that before, just sat on the ground & hooked up to a battery & fuel can. Ran fine. A bargain for 200 quid for the engine & auto box -& he delivered it to my lock up for free, though it was a bit of a struggle for the 4 of us to lift it up into the back of his Transit pick up! I'll post a pic of it sat next to my litttle trike in the lock up on my own Pop thread soon. Sorry Shaun, hijacking your thread again. Smiley
Can't wait to see the motor sat in front of the Pop cab now.

Bloody pirates Angry Angry Angry Angry nice one Andy.
Well things have slowed a little for me, Grizz is booked solid for the next few weeks so that just leaves me and my trusty angle grinder to remove all the bits we don't need Grin Grin my chassis is in a less than happy state so I really need to get hold of the spare so we can move on come the new year.
I will post a few pic's when I am not so tired and a little more sober  Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Kiss
