Right, that's my bags packed. I'm off to Boston in the morning, (massachusetts, not Lincolnshire). I'm spending a week there, then taking the train down to New York for a week.
I should have normal phone coverage, so should be here as usual, but just in case, I'll see you in a couple of weeks.
Play nice please & don't eat all the Jaffa Cakes on the first day Smiley

Waiting to board the plane at Heathrow & I've just had a message from my mate in the Bronx to say the hotel I've booked there, (one of 3 I'm due to stay in on this trip), "isn't in the friendliest area of the Bronx"! Great. So now I'm trying to extend my stay at hotel number 2, as I'm about to get on the plane. Gonna be an interesting trip Smiley

Well if someone who lives there says that then you know it's going to be bad. Good luck!  Grin

Hiya.
All's well. Hotel re-booked.
Overcast, but very warm here in downtown Boston.
How's everyone here?

Good -I was worried. Honest.
Busy exploring. Boston's cool, but I think I miss the hustle of New York. I was in Salem a couple of days ago. Busy, busy!

Lost my Internet access somewhere between Boston & New York, so can only drop in here from my hotel Wi-Fi in the evenings. Hope you're behaving yourselves Smiley

While I was on holiday in New York I came across a company offering tours of the city in vintage cars. Actually, they were more hotrods than vintage, but I don't suppose the genneral public would know the difference. For 45 dollars they take you on an hour long cruise around Midtown Manhattan. The driver arrives "in character" as a 1920s New York resident & you can dress in period costume if you want, to tour in style as they show you the "wonders of the modern skyscraper age". I chose to forgo that & my driver Ryan & I spent a very pleasant hour during, talking cars & turning heads wherever we went.
I arrived at the pick-up point early to find them taking photos for their driver training manual. It's a new company -they've only been in business for 2 months & they wanted to show the guides how to photograph the clients to show both them & the cars to the best advantage. I got roped into being a photographic model!
