Dropped your car keys down a drain?
No problem. Just call the Royal Mail key retrieval team.
My van buddy, Richard Heath managed to drop his ignition key down a rainwater drain on Saturday. We have a key each, so as one person's delivering, the other's moving the van to the next delivery point. Losing a key is a real pain.
So on our way from the depot to our delivery area this morning we stopped at my garage & grabbed a telescopic magnet, (used by mechanics to pick up nuts & bolts from hard to reach recesses in car engine bays), & a length of nylon rope.
While I was delivering the Mail, Richie went fishing. On the 5th attempt -*plink* -he hauled up the key Smiley
Amazingly, after being submerged in water for 2 days & hooked with a strong magnet, the electronic chip in the key fob still works.
All in a day's work Smiley
