No, not one of ours fortunately, but Peter Tork, blonde haired bassist & keyboard player with The Monkees, passed away today, aged 77.
Another little bit of my youth gone forever.

Oh, he was my favourite. All my life I've always liked the guys who were different and that's what I liked about him.

I hadn't heard about his death but I do watch this YouTube video every month which details who (well known) has died the previous month. A bit morbid but sometimes somebody pops up that I thought was still with us. Mind you, that's my favourite bit of the Oscars or other award shows, the In Memorandum bit so maybe I am just morbid.  Undecided

Well I can tell you a simple story about the monkees and myself..they was staying at a top London hotel, height of their success..my best buddy were passing by on the bus and noticed all the fans (screaming girls 🙎‍♀️🙅‍♀️🤷‍♀️) so we jumped off to have a look..after realising we weren't going to have any luck with them (we were about 10/12 years old  Angry)every time  the boys came out on the balcony the girls went  crazy  Shocked
We walked around the side entrance down towards the car park ,sat at the bottom was a big black limousine..so we went to look at it, I was standing by the back door trying to see through the black tinted windows when all of a sudden someone shouted open the ""doors QUICKLY ""  so I did..and blimey oh riley it was the monkees rushing to the limousine 😎😁 and they all rushed inside laughing loudly and the car roared off..
