Hollycombe Steam is said to be Britain’s largest collection of working steam and features a traditional fairground and narrow gauge steam railway.

On the weekend of Sat 11th & Sun 12th August, Hollycombe Steam welcomes members of the Historic Commercial Vehicle Society and their vehicles for a major event celebrating 60 years since the formation of the Society.
Over 100 classic commercial vehicles of all types are expected over the two days of this weekend.

I love Hollycombe, keep meaning to take my grandson there, but he'll be at the Purbeck Rally this weekend.

WW2 era AEC 4 wheel drive Matadors. Not unusual for them to be used by travelling fun fairs back in the day.

Two mobile steam engines (ie, not self propelled) all steamed up and providing power to many of the fun fair rides.

Narrow guage loco taking children of all ages for a ride.

The entry fee of £16 for adults, children 3-15 £12, means all rides are ‘free’, and what’s more, the ticket is valid for a year so return visits can be made with no extra charge!
Not bad at all.........
