Kev, (Kapri), had a couple of CX500s recently. He hasn't visited here for a while, but if you look for Kev Rooney on FaceBook, he may still have spares -like exhausts?

Pics from my original 1984 Honda sales brochure show both the CX650E and the CX650TC Turbo

Detail of CX650E, which looks pretty darn close (if not the same) to your project bike Mr Copersmith sir.

There's no such thing as a 13mm socket!! absolutely not, it's in the same bracket as Santa Claus and unicorns!! Grin...on the other hand, I have used three CX/GL 500 motors on various projects, in recent years , and they have all been excellent, so the bigger motor should be that much better. A bit like a Velocette "M" series engine with their high camshaft and short pushrods, tidy,...Morrag

@ Morrag, I'm improvising, found a 1/2" socket, it will have to do. Also found some strange headed bolts on this bike, 16mm. I mean who would use a 16mm head. except Honda  Grin luckily I have a brand new one never before used.

@ Tony Oily Bike, thanks for the info and brochure, very good, if only mine looked like that.

A shame, but better to have 1 or 2 projects you can enjoy than 7 or 8 that'll never get finished.

You coud go completely mad and turn it sideways. Put a sprocket and chain on the output and run a proper tracker.
