"SilverWing"?
Good solid shaft drive motors, much beloved by couriers years ago. Affectionately known as "Plastic Maggots".

Surely it was the CX500 that was a plastic maggot?

Always thought of it as a generic nickname for both engine sizes Bobbi, but you may well be right. Still a good solid workhorse & personally, I think, not a bad looking engine either.

just been informed by some snotty nosed kid that my CX650 is missing a turbo. Seems that is why there are no pipes from the head and a couple of disconnected oil feed pipes. UHM/ merry blinking chri**mas, time for a Gin I think Sad

Bit of a marmite bike in some ways - super reliable, and well built, went through a patch they weren't worth anything. But the pics above show it can be made to look good, prices have jumped up, and once you finish it it will last, well longer than you need probably:)

The Turbo cx650's had black exhausts and silencers with a big turbo motif on the silencer and the tank and side panels were stickered turbo as well. You probably have a std cx650. I am pretty sure the engine motif would say turbo instead of Honda too.
