Hope Mr Olds won't mind me pinching this from FaceBook. Dave in Norway last week, flying the flag for us, though I doubt that's the only reason he went. I wore my MMMotors shirt in New York a couple of months ago. Anyone sported theirs further afield?

I always take a MM tee shirt when abroad far more exclusive than Superdry or whatever.

I had my photo taken with Senior at Orange County Choppers in Newburgh, New York. It was in February so it was freezing cold and I stripped off until my Manky tee shirt was in view before someone took the photo. It was quite funny watching their faces as a strange 50 year old woman started throwing her clothes on the floor.  Huh  Shocked  I didn't care and of course they then wanted to know about MMM as it was such a weird name. Hard to believe that was over 7 years ago.  Undecided

I don't think I ever did post the photo. Probably lost on my zonked  out computer.

I always wear my MMM T shirt if I go to a car show or event and sometimes get asked about it.  We ought to have cards we can hand out so that people who show an interest can find the forum.  Although that might bring hordes of new members and change the nature of the place?#

You wouldn't believe how many fake forum applications we get, usually linked to porn sites -no, not my thing! It's got worse since I joined FaceBook a couple of years ago, so presumably it's SpamBots looking for other sites linked to users' accounts. With everything interlinked now these things can jump from one media to another.
I used to check out every new applicant through a few spam filters & anti spam sites, but to be honest, now unless someone emails me directly or something, I don't bother with new applications. The site will be getting a make over soon, (already loosely arranged with a local web guy -no, not Spiderman), so we'll look at better security then. For now I'm happy with the membership we've got Smiley

I'm sure that's why it's still busy with lots of people posting, everyone gets along and you don't have to worry about what you're saying - yes people may disagree with something you say but it's always done in a pleasant way and nobody falls out.  Love it.

Mr M, your site is akin to a drop in centre for disenfranchised 2, 3 &4 wheeler "people", and possibly 1 Wheeler's when Dave turns his very excellent abilities to unicycles, which must surely only be a matter of time! Grin like Merv. it's the only site I "belong" to, and my sentiments are those of BG, so long may it continue in its endevours, not the least in aiding my sanity some days Cheesy  when the world at large appears to be nuts! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes....Morrag
