Pretty similar - except that chequerplate when painted is still chequerplate.

I've sent pics of my trike to quite a number of folks over the years so it might even have been based on mine.   Lots of GT550 trikes around now but when I was talking about converting mine you wouldn't believe the number of people who told me that a 550 engine wasn't powerful enough to drive a trike.

Soon as i get my act together it will be BG's trike on Ebay.........   Undecided

Naysayers - its a british trait. What they mean is they can't be bothered to put down the computer to do something useful themselves.
I'm in the process of changing a 1.8 k series in an mgzt for a T series, (mgzt forum) you would not believe how many peple have said it´s not going to work, not worth doing, there are better engines, it'll fail on emmissions, the list goes on! In the end I resorted to tell people to can it unless they had something helpful to say, or personal experience of such a swap....

All my life , if someone said to me " You cannot do that " or  " That will not work " , then I ask " Why will it not work ? " .
If I do not get a reply , or just get waffle ,  I will try to do it .
If I fail then I will acknowledge that I could not do it but I will have the info as to why it did not work for me and will tell them why it did not work .
However , I will also acknowledge that , although I could not find a solution at that particular time I am not saying that it could not be done .
Other times I have apparently done the impossible  Huh Grin Grin

But mr Fifer, you can be proud in the fact you've acquired knowledge in which you pass on to so many of us part timers in the mechanical world ?
I salute you sir
