filler neck and cap

any ideas on where to find such items i,ve tried all the usual suppliers caps ok it,s the neck thats the problem the only ones available are alloy no good for a steel tank!

depends on cap fitting in the past iv'e used bmc mini ,mk1 escort or capri filler necks or for larger size's transit . the other option is to cut one out of an old bike tank hope this is of some help  .

Nick & Angie at Cycle Haven in Lincoln used to sell weld-in filler necks. I've bought them from there in the past anyway.

also weld in steel or ali fuel tap fittings, the ones shown are for hd style 22mm taps

That's handy Wynne. That means you could fit one of those nice pop-up flush-fit caps by welding in the screw neck fitting on the right.
