 ' LONDON TO BRIGHTON VETERAN CAR RUN'
Date: 06 November 2016-06 November 2016 Times: 07:00 at Hyde Park.
Car Information: The run is open to all motor vehicles (3 wheels or more) built before January 1905. See the VCC web site for a full list of the entries or http://www.lbvcr.com/. First group of cars leaves Hyde Park at 07:00 and with the last group leaving before 08:30. Each group consist of 10 to 16 cars with an interval of 2 minutes between the groups. Older the car the earlier it leaves or if the same age then it is by HP, the smaller first. (The times may change on the day) At the official coffee stop at Crawley, the first car arrives about 1hour 40minuits after starting at Hyde Park. For some, there are many coffee stops on route.
Event Description: The London to Brighton - Veteran Car Run is to celebrated the raising of the speed limit for 'light locomotives' from 4 miles per hour to the breath taking speed of 14 miles per hour, this being November 1896.
