A very good question  Cheesy
I love steam, but it was interesting to see 60s diesels for a change especially as I remember them.
Sorry Mr Mouse! Apparently I was only 5 minutes from another mate's place too. Ought to consult the MMMotors map before I go roadtripping.

I like the emblem on the train. Very pretty.

I really like the 'crest' on the wall. Looks like cast iron. Was it, or just plaster?

There's a steam railway near Mankey Towers known as the Watercress Line or Mid Hants Railway.

http://www.watercressline.co.uk/

The line runs from Alresford to Alton, with a stop along the way. Had a grand day out there this year, and we were allowed on the footplate of the loco that we were about to ride on, and after a question to one of the friendly staff, we we granted a quick look inside the active signal box with a brief explanation by the gentleman in charge.

Here's a video of one of their Special Events, the Steam Gala.

This years Steam Gala is from Friday 21st- Sunday 23rd October
