do any of you clever so and so's know where I can buy a push on push off switch like the ones in the pic

12v latching switch is what you want mate. ebay probably best bet for choice or maplin might do one if you want to get it quicker by going to pick it up.

ha ha no worries buddy  Cheesy. if you want a switch that goes off when you take your finger off its called a momentary switch. good for a starter button.
