whats the law / legal requirements   for lighting on a moto,,sickle,, these days  i,m a bit out of touch

do you legaly require a front side light ,, ?? or is a simple dip and main beam head light enough to satisfiy the law

maybe somebody could bring us all upto date and make it a ,sticky,, near the top for future referance ,,

Reading the mot manual for solo motorcycles it shows that a Front position lamp is not required .
.
If you fit a sidecar then the sidecar requires a front position lamp .
