I can't stop building stuff ?,but I'm slowing down

« on: August 08, 2016, 08:40:40 AM »

Well after months of searching and advice on what not to buy ( many thanks to Kev (KAPRI) for his patience too? ) my son purchased this yesterday ,we had a nice leisurely drive into deepest Somerset to check this out,I saw all the dodgy bits and what needed doing ? My son saw no more days of boredom and a use for some bits I still had lying about in the shed  Roll Eyes
The chop came with a lot of history/MOTs and another engine ( smaller size though ?) it's got a low mileage GPZ 1100 lump (20000 miles ?) the frame looks like a professional job till you get to the back end ? And all the brackets are of the pigeon poo type Embarrassed
Plus a big box of electrics and bits..the plan is to use what we have ?

Rear mudguard suggests someone was.
Looks to be a good base to build on (once welding has been sorted) and I'm sure that it will turn out fine.

Don't think he likes holes ? Thankfully those are just stick on ones ? Because the petrol tank was covered in them  Grin

Welds on the rear end definitely not as good as round the head stock, think Taylor has a bit of clean up and re-do in that area.

The welding on that triangular plate is on the bit of metal next door to it.
