well the deal has now been done and after over a dozen years i am now the owner of   ,,THE BLACK PIG,, a Q registered yamaha  xs650

i hope to have her home over the coming weekend then the major work can begin
just done the DVLA vehicle check which revealed she was last taxed in 1994  Shocked Shocked Shocked  well i knew she had been laid up some time ago ,, so wish me luck ,,lol,

i,v just bid on some ignition bits i found on good old ,,flea bay,,  so when i collect the pig later this week i should be able to make a start on it

had a bit of good news  been told that the engine was overhauled  around 500 miles before she was parked up

Might still be worth soaking the bores for a while before turning the engine over, but then you know this already.

Take no notice of  MM (he wants to get his on the road first  Wink).  Soft tail. Keep it simple for now, just get the on the road and ride that pig.

can anybody identify the swing arm ??

its for sale as i,m not keen on it  i,m going to get a proper one ,

not shure on the shocks either  they arn,t in keeping with the look i,m aiming for

Looks like it could possibly be an old Metamachex one way to tell is there will be a number stamped into the brace on the frame spindle mounting. I have an old catalogue with the part numbers so can check for you Wink
