I always used to book the last weeks holiday I could at Challabourgh Bay,so if there was a halfway decent wave it was on with wetsuit and a quick run to the beach.

My daughter was down from 'oop north' for Christmas and I took some pics of her at Kimmeridge on 30 Dec - she was disappointed with the waves but still managed a few rides

Only a little wave

But she rode it right across the bay

For a minute I thought you'd been at it as well BG. I was starting to feel left out.  Grin

Yes, brave folks Andy, unless they were in a big swimming pool!

It's great to see so many pics with big waves. Now knowing you lot, don't start sending in pics of lots of hands or paws etc. waving!

My  favourite time to see the sea is in windy or stormy weather. I have been to a local beach a few times this past week. You are level with the beach there whereas I live near a cliff top.

Sharks! we have seen better then that, how about surfing with crocs? Took this picture at the 95 world event in Costa Rica, seems its common, but I didn't feel all that comfortable knowing I was being watched  Grin Grin

Wow, I know you get salt water crocs but I thought they kept more to estuaries or deltas. Brave folk to go in the water with those about. With sharks, people have got away by punching them on their 'nose' but as I understand it, when crocs get you they don't let go and they take you under the water. What a terrible way to die.
