I haven't been around much as the last two years have been pretty crap, my son was very ill last year and needed a pacemaker as his heart kept stopping for up to 20 seconds at a time Shocked and this year I have had  both parents quite ill, Dad had a tumor removed from his intestine and now has a stoma, he is not coping well. I have also had major issues with social services and have had my son at home for almost 2 years 24/7 and we are now at ombudsman level. So not too much done in the workshop but some progress. If I get chance I will post up some stuff that I have managed to get done.

It's nice to find Manky's is still plodding along with all the facebook stuff taking over.... I don't do facebook

I really just come on to wish you all compliments of the season, so with that I will pop off for a browse as I haven't a clue what you have been up to....may take a while Smiley

Hi Steve

It's great that with all you've got on your plate you've found time to pop in and say hi - but don't forget, we're always here if you just want a rant or to let off steam, sometimes it helps to do that with people who are not family or close friends.

That's the great thing about this place - we all care about each other even if we've never met!  Doesn't always have to be about motors.

Thanks Bobbi, things have been so bad a times that I couldn't even talk about it as it just meant more time having to think about it. The social services thing has been the most grief as those bastards are supposed to be there to help and have caused massive problems.

I just ordered some replacement merchandise from Andy so if any of you spot some berk in shiny new Manky stuff it might well be me  Grin...got to keep the flag flying !

Hi Steve, welcome back.

Sorry to hear you have problems coming at you left, right & centre.  I know from my own experience that Social Services can be a pain. I had to go to court to get them to play ball. It cost me about £5000 but it was worth it. I don't know your situation but it might be something to consider. I wasn't but you might also be eligible for legal aid.

All my best, JJ  Smiley

cheers JayJay, he may well be entitled as he is severely disabled. I have had to use a Solicitor a few years back to push them into doing the right thing.....they took it all the way to a court date then backed down.....I think they just try it on most of the time and if you knuckle under then they get away with it. Too much of this going on at the moment if you ask me and I am in fighting mood. I have taken too much s**t from them lately and it's time I stood up to them.

Welcome back Steve.
Sorry to hear that you have had such a crap time. Life can be a bitch and the frustration of having to deal with organisations like social services, only seems to it worse.
Hope things improve for you.
