Is it to early to mention the C word?? Because today I have been assisting the wife in pouring molten chocolate over the log cakes, she has made 7 for our family. Now that is a lot of chocolate, very hazardous, some even splashed in my mouth. Tough job, but someone has to do it  Grin

I don't like the log cakes either, I find the bark to chewy.

With exactly one week to go I am partaking of a tradition of mine, that gets me through this particularly miserablesorry, festive time of year.
That being, the opening of some good single malt.
Don't expect much if any progress on projects, an ah shall take tis hoppotunitty to wishh all a murray wotsit.

we gave up pressies for anyone a while back and now spend the valuable time that would have been wasted in shops catching up with old friends...hence my recent visit.....much better use of a valuable commodity

I only shop for close family and grandchildren, but I do it online or in the local shops in our small town.  None of us spend much but we have fun getting together and opening presents on our 'Non Christmas Day' when Lucy comes down from up North having spent the day with her dad cos he doesn't have anyone else.  She doesn't get much chance at family life because of being so far away so it really is a special day for all of us.

I like Christmas. Especially the days off, anything  that stops me having to drag my backside out of bed at five in the morning to go to work, is fine by me.
