Interesting. I am sure a Class Action will be brought. Legal companies are always looking for cases like this because they can result in massive rewards (for the lawyers of course) if they are successful.

I empathise with the man in the piece.  I would be really stuck if I hadn't got my car.

Since the opticians were emplopyed by the DVLA I don't see that they have much wriggle room.

Specsavers are the company that got my prescription so wrong - even after I went back and got them to test me again - that I was having to use my reading glasses for walking about and even for driving!

Shouldn't have gone to Specsavers............

I found it the other way around. This time I am going to go to Vision Express who I have always been happy with prescription wise but then get my glasses on line.

No, they AREN'T the law and often make changesto Policy that have no foundation in Statue law whatsoever. However no one seems to want to challenge them and those that have bothered in teh past had to have deep pockets as DVLA WILL take it all the way to court rather than lose face even when they know they are wrong Sad

That's the time when a class action is called for, then everyone can get together to pay for the legal representation!  But people in general are too williong to lie down and roll over and let others get away with sruff - that's why they do it.

I always say, there's not enough complaining goes on!
