Feeling really fed up with waiting around for deliveries that don't turn up.
Over the past few years, I've had a quite a few parcels go missing. At one point, I joked that somewhere, someone, was building a trike just like mine from the bits that disappeared enroute.
Recently a company who's name resembles an alpine form of singing, managed to lose, or as they put it "missing in transit" a pair of wire spoked wheels, one of which had a tyre on it. This is a package, that is 27" diameter 9" deep weighs 50lb and looks like, well, two wheels and a tyre ! How can you lose that !
I am now waiting for a vintage car radiator, that was supposed to be delivered on Thursday. God I hope it's been packed extremely well, otherwise, I hate to think what sort of state it will be in, if it ever gets here, after being tossed around in vans and warehouses, sorry, distribution centres, for the past week.
With it being a bank holiday, it will be Tuesday before there is any chance of it being delivered.

Rant over. For now anyway.

Seriously Dave, pay for the petrol & I'll pick up your parts personally. I really enjoy roadtrips. The Alpine boys are one of the worst outfits in the business, but they're cheap. That's why people use them.
Really hope your parts arrive soon -don't want your project to stall because of crummy couriers.

No sign of the wheels, so tomorrow I shall be asking for a refund. Still can't quite work out how larger items can go "missing in transit" or are Ford now building vans with TARDIS like capabilities.
I have been assured that the radiator will be delivered tomorrow.  Roll Eyes We shall see.

 Cheesy
Well another day totally wasted waiting for the rad.
After phoning the depot and being assured that the parcel, really was on the van and would definitely be delivered today..... nada, zip, zilch, nothing.  Angry
A parcel, ordered from China just last week, arrived today with no problems.

You want to ask them WHERE it's being delivered - my daughter was told her parcel had been delivered and signed for - which it had, but not to her!

I know what you mean BG.  Smiley
They have not delivered it anywhere, it just keeps going back to the depot. I have a horrible feeling that it may have got mangled and the drivers don't want to face the customer. This has happened before.
Called the local depot and was informed that, "yes it was on the van yesterday, but it's not today"! Huh
As a token of goodwill, it has been booked as a pre 10.00 am delivery for tomorrow, without charging any more for early delivery. What that really means is, they are not going to charge extra, for delivering it ten days late, on a next day service ! Roll Eyes
