Yeah same as toms. Looks like a nice kit and might buy another one to replace the piranha system on the other bike as all the stuff is nice and small

That's my back-up plan if the new alternator brushes don't cure my charging problems, so I'll be watching with interest.

Got up early today to go breakfast and ride about in a galaxie500 for a bit. I fitted up the top engine mount I got in about 2 seconds flat. Nice kit as it comes with stainless bits and all the holes lined up perfectly. Only downside is I need to trim the fuel tank a bit. Where I put a new tunnel in it the lip on the bottom touches the mount so doesn't sit on the frame anymore.

I also fitted the clutch worm mechanism, which looked terrifying but was real simple once I watched a video on YouTube.

This is where the crossover of parts presents a problem. The clutch cable Andy gave us fits no problem engine side but not into the zxr lever. Not a huge issue, just means may need to get a custom one made.

Then I got excited and decided to mount up the carb kit. The billet mounts are lovely and the rubbers are solid so will support the carbs no problem at all. Once on 2 small issues. I can't get filters on them due to the top rails of the hardtail. Not a major issue as I can get stubby stacks for them. Routing the cables were interesting as it's a 2 - 1. It ended up through the middle of the top mount which may not be ideal. Second issue is that the throttle end is designed for the standard tube on the Xs. I've got a universal one so it doesn't fit. Again not a major issue really.

So left there for a while now while I think about what's next on the list.

Carbs look great. My throttle cable runs between the top engine mounts too.

Oh ok cool. It seemed the only way to get them to run smoothly. Thought the heat might be a problem, but they're in conduit.

Brought the lift home and got this one on it. Redid the front seat unit with the working welder. Also did some to the nudguard. Rivnutted the frame for its mount. Popped the carbs on as I wanted to try the carb holder to stop them popping off. I also really like the peanut tank, so think I need to get another one for both bikes.

That's nicely made -your work Sir?
My first couple of XSs used to regularly pop & bang & burp their carbs off the rubber manifolds while sat at traffic lights!
