This looks like it could be a cracking event – The Ramsgate Sprint Revival.

http://ramsgatesprintrevival.com/index.html

The Ramsgate Sprint which ran during the late 50’s and most of the 60’s, and is being revived in association with the Invicta MCC Ramsgate and West East Classic Motorcycle Club.

Motorcycle sprinting will be taking place at the historic Ramsgate Western Undercliff. Above this on Government Acre, there’ll be music, stalls, exhibits etc.

Motorcycle Sprints along seafronts were a fairly common thing way back, today only the Brighton Speed Trials has survived, so its welcoming to see Ramsgate being revived.
More power to the elbows of those getting this event off the ground!

There's nowt as light as a hole, so add lightness.

Nitro doesn't add power, it multiplies it! Bob Loux, running 10.07 secs @138mph on a 650 normally aspirated Triumph drag bike in 1965!

As far as I'm aware, entry invitations for August's Sprint Revival are still open........

Not only is there a Sprint, but a Vintage & Classic Bike Show, Wall of Death, Funfair Stalls & Sideshows and Live Music.
Admission is free.
The event is supporting the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance.
