Yay!  I'm going to this and meeting up with an old friend from Scotland - we haven't seen each other for years!

Looks like fun and not too expensive (still doing early bird price till 31 Jan) - so I thought I'd post it here!

Saturday 06 - Sunday 07 June 2015

American SpeedFest returns for its third edition in 2015, with another helping of super-sized stock car action from the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. The American theme continues on the track with V8 muscle car racing, demos, displays, parades and stunts.

Other areas of the venue will be transformed into a scene from Daytona too, with extensive American car displays, live music and themed entertainment. New activities for 2015 include a Hot Rod & Custom show area with show and shine awards, plus a rolling road testing and challenge - the inaugural 'Power Champion of Brands'.

SpeedFest is one of the most popular events at Brands Hatch and the biggest celebration of American-fuelled motoring, music and racing this side of the Atlantic!

Please note: Sunday is the main event day, although there will be support race qualifying and two Euro NASCAR races on the Saturday.

Yay it's nearly here!

My friends are in a hotel but I'm camping cos all the rooms were too expensive by the time I tried to book (was a bit busyy having health issues when I should have been booking!)  Anyone camped at Brands before and know what it's like?

I have but not in the public camping - first time we were sponsoring a rider in the Eurosport and we were camonig with all the folks who were part of the event - St Jons ambulance, firefighters, etc etc.  Second time was a Bemsee meeting and we were camping in the paddock!  Not used to roughing it with the great general public!   Wink
