Reet i want to fit a oil cooler to my reliant engine and i can't find any diagrams of the oil ways and how it circulates the engine like they do in the Haynes book of Lie's for motor cycles so was wondering if any one has such a thing. I know one of the line's goes to the sump and the other should be a feed.

mine has, sorry had, a sandwich plate between the oil filter and the block. I'm sure it had both feed and return from that block with some clever drillings within, I'll see if I can find few pictures in the old album.

A sandwich plate is the normal way of adding an oil cooler. Are you sure you need one. Not heard of problems with oil temp on Reliant engines except perhaps on race engines.

Unless your turbocharging or racing you shouldn't need one. Good quality oil, along with well adjusted fuel and timing would be sufficient IMHO.

Oh, and adequate cooling of course.

After over 40 years of dealing with Reliant engines I have found no problems at all with the oil temperature being too hot  Smiley
