I just point it & press the button thingy.  The Great War Memorial Flight. Replicas of World War One flying machines. There were 9 of these, circling & wheeling in mock dog fights. Fascinating to watch -I hadn't realised just how frail they were -really more like motorised kites than aeroplanes. |

One of the German Fokker triplanes was being flown by Bruce Dickinson, a qualified airline pilot & frontman for Iron Maiden. A lot of the team were airline pilots.

As the commentator said, it took just 54 months to take the newly discovered power of flight & turn it into a fully functioning air force -about the same time it takes to design an in-flight movie system now.
