After reading through the 22 page DVLA newsletter, I thought I'd give a brief synopsis of changes that may be relevant.
Last of the local office network closed on Friday.
1- Under the heading "How will I know what to do after local office closures" It states "Go to GOV.UK- The closure of DVLA local offices- Everything you need to know."
(Good luck with that one.  Huh)
2- From 16th Dec. DVLA will remove the requirement for customers to renew SORN on an annual basis.
(About time too Roll Eyes)
3- Also there will be no need to provide proof of insurance to tax a vehicle.
4-Insurance companies will be able to obtain information of entitlement and endorsements direct from DVLA records.
(Not sure if this will include prior endorsements that may still be on the system but I expect so  Shocked I suppose this will also mean, when DVLA decide to lose your bike entitlement the insurance company may know before you do)
