Seems pretty common on a lot of forums as more and more use Facebook. To me a 'focused' forum can be a lot better than random input on Facebook , plus a lot more private.

Even though I'm on Facebook I rarely go on it, to much nonsense plus you wouldn't get the information on there as you do on hear, so I'm staying put.

Seems to be a few projects in the pre build, parts gathering, stage at the moment. Perhaps once they get started things will liven up again.

Yep, not many people posting about future events or events they've been to or new builds - winter is a time for hibernation!
I agree, there's nothing like a forum! I spend a lot of time on facebook and it's great for keeping in touch with folks from different parts of life, but there isn't the same atmosphere as a forum. I predict that forums will make a bit of a comeback in the next 12 months, as Facebook gets more intrusive, and more difficult to control the way you want it.

I think you're right about the hibernation thing. I'm a Postman, so the lead up to Christmas is our busiest time of year. At the moment I'm sorting Mail in the mornings, then delivering it until mid afternoon, then going back out with a vanful of parcels until tea time. By the time I get home & changed into my scruffy garage clothes & back out to Loony's workshop, it's too late & too dark & too cold to do anything. By the time I get home, all I want to do is get something warm to eat & go to bed. So nothing really to report at the moment, but gathering parts for my truck, my bike & the next hotrod project. Already talking of the next foreign jaunt in the Spring though, so lots to do over the Winter. All forums go through busy & low spots. If you check the number of forum visitors, (right at the bottom of the page), we average 20 to 30 every day, sometimes lots of members, sometimes lots of guests, (who can also be members who haven't logged in). For a small site that doesn't advertise, that's not too bad.
