Here are some pictures of how my brother has implemented above front seats bed in his converted van. I'm putting them up as I mentioned it in Rods's campervan post, but didnt want to clutter his thread with my brothers stuff. Hope these help someone.

And here is a view of the rear of the van, nothing fitted yet. There will be a wood burning stove, couches and kitchen tackle.

Is a wood burning stove wise when the van's full of wood?!
So can you buy that bed frame?

The bed frame was originally in my mate's Ron's Hymer. I dont know if it is original Hymer though. He took it out a few years ago and chucked it in a pile of scrap. 2 years later my brother Steve located the pile of scrap, dug down and found it! As an aside, Ron is travelling around the world in the Hymer, you can see his blog here: http://www.funkyronster.blogspot.co.uk/

So Steve's build has been going on for some time. The base vehicle is a Dodge, plated at 6.5 tonnes. He has rebuilt it from the chassis up, including a complete aluminium reskin. Yes, it is high, in fact he had to raise the carport a foot to get it under, and it was already high to allow for my late fathers caravan to go under!

The wall is lined with heat resistant material behind the stove, you can see the area in one of the pictures. He has spend half his life living in vans, i'm sure he knows what he is doing Smiley
