I was using my welder the other day,Welding some thin material so trigger was used intermittently. The wire stopped i thought the wire was stuck to the tip,On pulling the wire out i realized it wasn't stuck, Now if i put the wire to earth and pull the trigger it will strike up but the wire won't feed, So thinking the wire feed motor has failed i remove it so that i could look for a replacement, Then i thought lets check it so i put 12v through it and it works,So I'm now thinking it's something on the board,I have looked at the board but can't see anything to indicate failure,
Anybody got any ideas.

WITH THE POWER OFF test these diodes welder problem meter on ohms, should get a reading one way none the other. reading should not be o.oo more like 500 or something. also check the resistance of the transformer input and output windings power on check the output voltage of the transformer

I know less than nothing about welders but if you take something non-working apart and put it back together and it works - you've usually fixed a loose or dirty connection!
