Smiley Vulnerability or freedom -depends how you view it. I loved being able to just jump on my trike in "normal", non biking gear & blat around locally, (obviously I wore more suitable attire for longer trips).
I ran 15 inch rims on most of my trikes, with 50 profile tyres, giving an overall diameter of around 24 inches. 15psi in the rears. Any more & it tended to be a bit skittery.
1st, 2nd & 3rd were respectably quick & all I needed for a lot of roads, with 4th being more like an overdrive for motorway use. The revs tended to drop off when I put it into 4th, so I'd take it up to about 65/70mph in 3rd, then put it in 4th & let the speed slowly build up. After a minute or two I'd find myself having to roll the throttle shut a little cos I was going too fast. In 4th, it'd sit on the motorway at 70/75 all day.

It's never occurred to me to think about a blowout!  It's a vehicle, so I ride it.  Being a bike trike, mine has lots of acceleration in the lower gears and once I get into top it will build up to about 80 in the right conditions - like a bike though, it's hard work keeping it there with no fairing - hard work on my neck and shoulders, that is!

Hit about 65 for very short bursts a couple of times.2 up it feels quite stable, but Im paranoid about a tyre blow out !
You probably wont even notice, some trikes run on 15 20 psi on the rear Huh
I run my rears at 12 psi with no problems. At 20 psi, the rear was a bit skittish in the wet. Think the chances of a sudden blow out with car tyres all round is unlikely.
