gently in a big record vice or use the spreader wedge out of a porta-press body jack,,,,,that is if they are not auto adjusting ones with a h/brake mechanism,,
in which case they wind back in

what are the calipers off  ?

it's the front calipers ,possibly fj1200 the portapower thingy might work if i can get my hands on one.
the g clamp hardly fits between the 2 halves so it dosen't push straight which makes it worse.
they do split which would let me use a vise but i've never did that, what seal's the 2 halfs?

Usually rubber O rings on the fluid ways.
You trying to put the pistons back in or get them out?
An air line in the brake hose fitting sometimes pushes them out.

Have you tried taking the bleed nipple right out? The small holes sometimes get blocked with corrosion.
I know you shouldn't, but a pair of thin wedges might do it. They should go back fairly easily, if not it suggests that it's time for an overhaul.

No just loosened but removing them is worth a try for sure the calipers are from an fzr400 86/91
not a fj 1200 as first thought

Remove the pads then pump the pistons out as far as you can.
Remove the calipers from the frame and retire to the shed.
Hold the caliper in a vice then pull the pistons all the way out.
Clean the piston and the caliper bore the push the piston back in.
Refit the calipers and bleed.

NO POINT JUST PUSHING THE PISTONS BACK IN....THEY WILL NOT LOOSEN ON THEIR OWN AND YOU WILL END UP WITH A SIEZED FRONT BRAKE.
