Wheel Valve stem.

Morning Peeps,
Any ideas how I can seal a leaking valve stem on an aluminium rim from a CB500S? Is there any easy way to do it without removing the tyre? Or do I have to remove the Tyre, fit a new valve stem and re fit the tyre?
I'm capable of doing the latter if I must but I'd rather not have to pull the tyre from the rim.
Cheers G.

Reminds me of when I was umming and erring about getting a budget tyre or a proper branded one when I was on two wheels - what settled that for me was when someone said 'Isn't your life worth an extra £20?'
