I bought a grease gun, filled with fresh grease, for 3 quid, (the grease was worth that), a 4mm tap & an offcut of steel for my new steering wheel boss for a quid.
Nice to see fellow Monkeys Kapri, Postie Dave & Captain Spanner Fingers.  Wink
And my truck was on the showfield rather than in the public carpark for once, so it's now officially a blingy showcar.
A good day.

A Thailand "Tuk Tuk" taxi trike.

We nearly wrote this off about 2 weeks ago, hammering up the A3 near Guildford to come across what appeared to be stationary Tuk Tuk ,it was actually moving slooooooooooooooooooooooowly uphill.

Red Mk2 Zephyr with scallops belongs to a friend of mine from Gosport, Rover V8 powered ,he must have had this little beauty for 15 years or more. Mk 1 next to it belongs to Bob Parsley and engine feature a twinchoke Weber and 6 branch manifold, very clean car.

No idea what engine this had, (started very smoothly & sounded quite modern), but it was beautiful. Tall, skinny crossply tyres & smaller mudguards & it'd be perfect. The car of the day for me.

Based on a Triumph Spitfire !

Really?! Beautifully put together.
Was the Tuk Tuk being driven by a gentleman with a large white beard & a top hat? Wonder how long it took him to get to Newbury from Guildford? Hope the meter wasn't running. Is it true they're called that because of the noise they make?
I always think the cars on display are much more interesting once you talk to the owners & find out a little more about them. Good to see you today Kev.

Agree Andy, great to hear the back story though I overheard one guy explaining his clutch change bolt by bolt and was losing the will to live ! Also picked up  4x4" speakers in enclosures that will hide nicely in the Fury for the grand sum of £3.

Some very nice motors there , I do love a nice 20's 30s Sports car, love the details but Marian fell in love with the Austin Tourer parked next to to 'rat resto' Standard 8/9 !lol

Several choices of good venues today but chose this one after George recommending it due to the charity it supported as we are both Non Hodgkin Lymphoma (cancer) survivors .
