What colour should old gearbox oil be. Mine was a silver colour. Is that right?

Silver means lots of wear, inspect and replace oil

I think that silver is some of the remains from you damaged cover.

That's always the problem when u buy a trike. This is the 1st time I've drained the gearbox oil. Could have been in there for bloody years
