Would you believe it, it now clashes with Hayling.
Aargh!

I'd arranged to meet up with Scottie the hotrod haulier & his lovely lady Gina, in their Chevy sedan at Greenham Common this morning. They were popping in for an hour or so, then heading down to the Hayling Island rod show. I'm running in my truck & was following them down to the coast. So I was there by around 9.
Pretty quiet, but slowly filling up while we were wandering around. There were a lot of other shows on today though & only so many vehicles to go round them all. Nice to bump into Jay Jay & Rick as always. Chris & Loony came over from the workshop in Basingstoke a little later too.
An interesting venue, among the disused missile bunkers, (Greenham Common was an American airbase back in the 70s & home to F 111 fighters & cruise missiles, as well as the infamous women peace campaigners). These days most of the land's been returned to common land, with a business park at one end. The empty bunkers have had their steel doors removed, but still look like something from a Thunderbirds episode. Quite eery really.
We left for the coast around 11am, so I've no idea if the crowds came later in the day. I hope so.
