OK been let down with a promise of some acetylene, But i have a tig welder,Has anyone done this if so what rods did you use and how successful was it.

I'm using some T45 to modify an existing frame that i bronze welded. And if i don't get it right, I may get my P45

Bronze welding with TIG is fine but you need Zinc free roods not the ones that you use for gas welding.
The Zinc boils off when tigging and ruins it.
I bought some rods a while back and it works fine. £80 per kilo though!!!

The ones I used are Sifsil no 968. or Sifsil No 32
Easier to buy over the net
If you search sif sil for tech data as to which type to use as the ones I use may not be suiatble for what you are doing.
