Saw this at a  petrol station....if they took down the bar which the height restriction sign is hung from.....there would nothing to restrict. The overhang on the roof of building isnt the problem, so Im not sure why this notice is here. The actual entrance onto the forecourt has no height restriction at all. Maybe its for the field of vision for the camera Huh??

That's weird!
I was queueing to pay for petrol in Sainsburys petrol station here in Basingstoke the other day & listening to the security guard. He was telling the cashier that one of their cameras had been moved during the night so it pointed at the ceiling. The next day they had 6 drive offs, (people filling up & scarpering without paying), from the pumps normally covered by that camera. Sneaky gits.

What does it say on those red barrels on the left of the photo? It looks like "Eat Otters". A local delicacy or do I need to buy some glasses?

Good grief Andy, I thought - in fact I know - that I need new glasses, but even I can see it says 'great offers'...!

I expect the height restriction is to prevent anyone parking a ruddy great truck tight up to the the front, thus hiding what's going on inside from the outside, or vice versa!

Where is it?

A barrel of otters would be much more interesting don't you think?
Pete lives in Lymington so I'm guessing it's local to him.

Its Somerfields Petrol Station/Shop in the old Wellworthy's "Ampress" site on the outskirts of Lymington. They have a good shop there, Emily swears by their Ben & Gerry icecream Grin
The "Otters" are spit roast and available with onion gravy, mmmmmmmmmm Wink
