I posted this 2 days ago, but due to the recent forum crash, the thread's been lost. So here it is again.
I was at a local industrial estate a couple of days ago, (Young's Haulage Yard in Aldermaston, Hampshire). I've bought sheets of steel from an autofactors there before, but they've moved from one unit to another since I last went. So I had to drive around the yard to find their new place.
Tucked away around the back were these beauties. Common knowledge locally I'm told, but I'd never seen them before. Old man Young collects them. Yes, he knows just what they're worth, some do eventually get restored & no before you ask, none are for sale!
I always have my camera in my car, so grabbed some quick snaps. I expected someone to run out & tell me to b*gger off, but they didn't. I could see from the tracks in the snow, that at least one other person -& a rabbit, had wandered around there recently, so I figured it was O.K to be there. Maybe Elmer Fudd & Bugs Bunny are lorry fans.
