Grin True Kev. As the Rods n Sods forumers said recently, it's time to get back to coloured cars, instead of just black or rust.
Hopefully this un's sufficiently different that they won't get confused in the carpark. Nice work.

Nice one. I do like pick-ups but then I would, wouldn't I.
If it were mine I'd chop a couple of inches out of the rad and make the fuel tank a bit smaller so it didn't sit so much higher than the sides but thats just personal taste and I don't mean to criticise what looks to be an excellent truck.
Just wish i had the tooling to impress those stiffening lines in the bed sides and tailgate.

"Swages". You can buy a tool from places like Frosts restoration to do that. I had the ones in my tailgate rolled by a guy in Newbury, Berkshire, who builds aluminium bodied specials.
My pick-up bed's deeper but the fuel tank shows over the top by about the same amount -it's just the accepted "look" of hotrod trucks. My only criticsm would be the curved bottom edge of the rear window, (original Pop window?), clashing with the straight line of the swage below it. PantherShaun posted some pics last year of a similar Pop truck with the opposite problem -a straight window line with a curved swage under it. Nice detailing -I like the roof gutters above the doors running down into the swage. They've mounted the engine a bit further forward than ours so it doesn't take up too much cab room, (we have limited footwell space in ours because of the gearbox), so they've extended the scuttle panel under the windscreen to cover the gap behind the engine. We pushed the engine forward a little bit, then stretched the bonnet by 2 inches.
Must admit I prefer our original Pop grille shell cos I think that long thin "nose" is the defining look of a Pop, but they may have used the model B Ford shell to disguise it's Pop heritage.
Any interior pics?

ooooooh that is nice  Cool would prefer to see a Pop grill on it other than a B grill (have I ever told you  how much I hate those Roll Eyes ) but it is indeed a superb truck and one I will not be parking too close to myself as it will show mine up  Grin Grin Wink
