This caught my eye in a mate's yard today, wasn't sure what it was so had a peer and found it was a factory-made 125 suitable for learners!!!!  Grin

This one's called the Daytona (and has just been sold (secondhand) for around £1800)
http://www.ajsmotorcycles.co.uk/new_AJS/docs/main.htm

And they do another called the Bobber
http://www.ajsmotorcycles.co.uk/new_AJS/docs/main.htm

So many cool detail parts........ have a look at the downloads on the pages, and you may wish you were 17 again!!!  Roll Eyes
New price for either model seems to be less that £3000 according to the web adverts, so you'd have your paper round money pretty hard.............

One of our club members had an AJS Raptor virtually the same as that. The forward controls can be bought as off the shelf custom parts for £350 to £500, the ignition switch is a Harley Davidson one and costs from a Harley Thiever £300. In all fairness if you were building a chop there are a lot of ready made parts on these that are very useable. In my day all we had was the Fantic Chopper!!! Huh Huh Huh

Guess we're of a similar age......  Roll Eyes the Fantic Chopper was pretty much a one-off. Me thinks they'll prob fetch fairly strong money nowadays.

Me thinks something might give if someone put a big engine it Grin
Its £850 with 4 days to go!

You know, those little AJSs would have a lot of space for a 'decent' motor if the original was to be removed................ Roll Eyes
