Is that fake patina/rust/bullet holes on a fibreglass body? They've been talking about paint finishes on the Rods n Sods forum & a pic of that was posted.

Enjoyed the pics Dave. The b/w photos are great. Makes it feel like the depression era or that John Boy Walton is going to appear. Those sun glare photos also work even though like you say, normally they wouldn't. In photo 195 (I think I have the right one); I wonder who that pork pie hat wearing shadow could be? You have probably said before, but where is this meet? JJ

had a poke at the holes and they are holes and are bent in around the edges as if hit by a bullet. they all seem to be the same size so if faked they would of had to use a pointed bar or summat like that.

Nice pics as usual Dave........... good variety of machines, and a sunny day too!
Shame I always seem to find out about it after the event!
JJ - Location is as Dave said, just off the M3, J3, take A322 towards Bracknell (North) for a couple of miles, then the A30 towards Camberley which is the first slip road (not London, 2nd slip road), and its just after the traffic lights/petrol station on the LHS.

The 34 with the bullet holes belongs to Steve Hale, normally drives the red/white 55 chevy with radiused arches. Bodywise its real 80 year old patina. Oh and the holes are real..

Hi Dave....Nope,hes been doing the chevy as a rolling resto but now its off the road for the engine change. Think hes going to use the 34 to start the year till the chevy is done. Both cars are being done in the style a young high school kid back in the day would have built it.
