Brightona - Sunday 14/10/12Madeira Drive, Brighton (BN2 1FY should get you close) Always a great event. Mainly motorbikes and trikes but hot rods (a term used loosely) are also welcome. The weather is predicted as sunny at the moment and this event is usually lucky with the weather especially considering it is October. There is a £5 entry fee. In the past, for that you got a programme and a badge. Usually it is voluntary but perhaps this has changed this year. Hope you still get the goodies. Lots of money is raised for the Sussex Heart Charity though so either way, visitors are happy to pay it. There are always plenty of bands who are usually pretty good and overall the whole event is well organised, friendly and fun. Opening time is 9 am but vehicles usually start arriving well before that, especially if the weather is good. Here is the website for the details. www.brightona.net/JJ

This event is so lucky. Beautiful weather again. Great day as always with loads of roaring bikes and trikes and quite a few hot rods too. I think the number of the latter is growing every year. Plenty of stalls, selling things from dog outfits to belts made out of old tyres. Plenty of good bands playing most of the day in different areas of Madeira Drive so if one band didn't float your boat, you only had to walk a bit further to find a different one. As always, the folks who organise this event are a friendly bunch and even though all profit on the merchandise goes to the Sussex Heart Charity, all their prices are very reasonable e.g. £8 for a T Shirt. If you didn't make it this time, do try next year, as I think you would enjoy it. Hopefully Chevy Rick will post some photos. I don't bother taking any if I know Rick is on the case.  JJ |
