So since the engine rebuild she has had a bit of a stutter round the 50mph mark and at a couple other speeds. After a few trial and errors seem to have it sorted now, new air filters with some filter oil on them.

Today after work I decided to see if what I had  been hearing and feeling on the trike after the work we put in was true by doing a compression test.
Was  nervous doing it as I was worried there would little or no improvement.  Before the overhaul she was about 180psi on one and 155psi on the other........................now shes 220/230psi on both  Grin guess we done something right.
The last test will be the long run to see if its still disappearing oil. It will be another nervous time when I do it.

yeah see you there merv  Wink

been playing around trying to tune her a bit and manged to break a piece off the front carb  Sad. got another set and and fitted them up.
had some problems when getting to the top end in each gear she was stuttering but got that down to me blocking part of an airway with the filter rubbers.
now have a problem about 65mph after a bit she starts popping. think my vacuum petcock is to blame so have another on the way so hope to fit that before the weekend to get down the ace cafe.
then just need to balance the carbs to make sure they are running right  Grin

wow  Shocked cant believe its been that long since i posted.

anyway as i have been saying for a while and at the basingstoke show my trike needed painting. well i finally pulled my finger out and last week i done it.
only thing is now i have im not sure i am happy with the colour  Sad.
had some problems with the paint too which has meant that when i finished it the paint moved so even if i want to keep the colour i have to redo the tank.

will show where i am now but be warned it may well all be coming off and changing  Grin

sanded down the various parts

my new trike project

then i lacquered it all. after this is when disaster struck. lent the tank over to sort out the fuel tap and its seems some of the paint had not finished going off and it moved  Angry. not sure if this is part of the reason i am not as happy as i hoped to be with the colour but the grey is not as dark as i hoped.

that's clever that. I could find a use for that, looks OK to me except the smudge.
