well it didn't take long for the gremlins to move in,small puddle of water under the rad and oil on the bottom crossmember under the front crank pully ! I'll try some seal softener but will order a new seal anyway and as for the rad maybe some k seal for the time beening

yep only teething troubles i hope ,it looks like the bottom tank of the rad is cracked so rad weld type product may not work we shall see. had a go at making cables tonight, bought a throttle cable kit for a peugeot 406 and some solderless nipples and off we go A little progress A little progress A little progress A little progress A little progress all working fine if a little heath robinson, and had to put a return spring on the choke as the cable wouldn't push it off fully

went for a little spin up and down the lane where i live,it was interesting. forgeting to steer being the main problem A common problem for those used to a bike. Leaning to turn, no longer works does it Don't worry, first time out I thought- Oh f###, what the hell have I built !

Getting older but no wiser! Just using bigger hammers. The answer to most problems, fire and lots of it.

Now i can see why Olds built a pick up had a little trip to the shops today and had to improvise A little progress now some questions I've got 14" wheels with 60 profile tyres and out of a junction i need to slip the clutch quit a lot. the clutch is quit sharp with only about 20 mm of travel, how do the rest of you compare to this? the other question is the brakes which on a normal stop seem to work quite well but i'm a bit wary of how they'd perform in an emergancy stop,i don't even have a hint of lock up front or rear but do have reasonable retardation, again how are ye'all finding it . brakes are standard drum at the rear all new wheel cylinders etc linked to 1 front disk then the other front disc is to the standard front master. any and all thoughts or comments welcome cheers lads eddie
