more by luck than judgment MM i'm sorry to say
no Steven it clears the exhaust ok although it can be bent out a little if needs be,
at the moment i have no clutch fitted so i'm not sure what the travel will be

Less than an inch of movement from fully on to fully off. The clutch arm travel is limited by special Reliant engineering -it hits the gearbox casing & won't go any further. Most of my builds have been of the Try It & See design. Works for me.  |

got a start on the foot pegs tonight.decided to put the pivot through the frame so marked and squared and drilled some holes!  A little progress just checking the they are opposite each other before welding Alan made these inserts on the lathe. they are 22mm outside and 19mm inside. the bush to be used is from a mercedes lorry rear brake bias lever and have a 16mm hole for the pivot to go through.they are cheap and easily available should they need replaced with the inserts now welded to the frame all i need to do now is make some pedals and pegs and we're good!  A little progress |

Also got given these today. banded minor wheels from back in the day. had planned on some sort of alloy wheel but think these might look cool done body colour with some sort of alloy centre Alan doesn't agree   A little progress |

Might be a bit pitted after cleaning! Go for some nice alloy to compliment all your hard work , wheels tank and frame will be your main features

I put banded Moggy wheels on Taz's trike & thought they looked great. Depends on the look you're going for. Shotblasted & powder-coated, with a chrome Moggy hubcap, they'd look cool. More importantly, they're free!

I may be a worrywort but I'm a little concerned about you drilling 22mm holes through the bottom frame tubes and welding in, 1.5mm wall tube inserts.
I know the main tubes are over engineered but thats a lot of strength you have taken out. Was taught that tubes inserted in this fashion should always be of equal or greater wall thickness to the main tube and welds must be continuous and all round.

i have thought about that and have thought about splitting another tube and placeing it
around the frame rail then welding in place for a bit of extra strenght but not sure if that would help

Must admit that went through my mind I would weld half a tube cut length ways on the iner bit off the frame to strengthen it if I were you |

Just drill a bigger hole and fit a bigger dia thick wall tube.
Turn it out of solid if you have nothing to suit.
