It's more than likely going to have a complete closing in panel under the dash to the top of the toe board, so you won't see it at all.

Just a small update. Having removed the steering column and assembled it together permanently, refitted it back into the car and fabricated a couple of brackets to secure it (doesn’t really need it, because it is assembled as a complete unit). This is a picture taken from about half way up the window part of the “B” post and all that can be seen is a part of the motor and the torque sensor.  "Met"amorphosis As I mentioned before the wiper motor requires moving a small amount to clear the EPS motor. Just needed to make an adaptor plate to reposition.  "Met"amorphosis Then fit it to the motor …………  "Met"amorphosis And the whole assembly to the car.  "Met"amorphosis Back to bodywork next week, to finish of the shell. |

I managed to find a couple of hours today, so I took some seam cappings that Fintan Ellis folded up for us …………  "Met"amorphosis These fit over some of the spot welded seams to make them look tidier and seal the seam from water ingress. First was the seam across the rear between the rear panel and the boot floor cross member.  "Met"amorphosis Then the seams above the front footwells.  "Met"amorphosis  "Met"amorphosis These will be seam sealed and undersealed later. One job I’ve been avoiding is the air intake box for the heater blower  "Met"amorphosis Every time I’ve looked at it I couldn’t figure out what to do with it., so taking the bull by the horns I carefully drilled out all the spot welds that held it to the body and removed it.  "Met"amorphosis  "Met"amorphosis As you can see, it needs a bit of a cuddle. So carefully drilling out the spot welds, we ended up with three separate pieces which can now be blasted before reassembling and refitting.  "Met"amorphosis |

Is there a drainage hole in that intake Chris? I've got the dashboard out of my Pop at the moment, & discovered the cowl vent, which ducts air to the screen demisters, had half an inch of water in the bottom.

If you look at the second to last picture, of the assembled box. "Met"amorphosis You'll see that it has two half inch drain tubes onto which hoses are fitted. These drain out into the lower engine compartment. |

Haven’t been able to do too much since the last update, but the heater blower plenum has now been sand blasted, reassembled, rust treated and epoxy primed. Now ready to be re welded back into the car.  "Met"amorphosis  "Met"amorphosis |

They're a retro stateside wheel, Steve, first around in the early '60s called Radir.
