Well we went to the msva test and we ......................................................PASSED Grin Grin Grin Grin
All that worry for nowt, and the test seemed quite lenient nothing like I was expecting at all
There was no checking of bearings brake pad thickness, only just got through the noise test,on the subject of the noise test the trike was tested at half the engines maximum rpm and the only reference is the maximum you state on the msva application form Wink Wink
On entering the tester asked for the trike's make and model so I said Moto Guzzi for make then he asked for a "name" I haven't given this any thought whatsoever and the first name that popped into my head was John so I am now the proud owner of the one and only Moto Guzzi John Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

the tester was a very nice chap and the test was not as bad we thought
unless he noticed the manky stickers and thought we would send around a apes armed with double barrelled banana guns cos after a 45 minute test and payment he gave us this

I'm insured now and I have an inspection at the DVLA in the morning also the MOT on Friday.
My sister is in Norwich next Tuesday so she is going to drop in the paperwork and pay the registration fee and road tax.
So with luck we should be roadworthy in a couple of weeks at the most ........yipeeeeeee Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Nice one Grin well done.
Before handing over any paperwork to DVLA make a scanned copy or photo copy of everything. Especially the MSVA cert. as you probably wont be getting that back.

Well done, now you will have a trike that will be road legal  and it will be something you built and not bought, what a sense of achievement

Went back to VOSA this morning for the DVLA inspection I was told I'm going to get a "Q" plate which to be fair I don't really care what letters the plate has as long as it's legal.
Just waiting for a letter from the DVLA to let me know what else I need for registration, this should be posted today or tomorrow so it should be with me this week.
The nice lady also said I didn't need a MOT as the MSVA test was more stringent

Nothing wrong with being part of the Q continuum
I feel that a Q plate shows the trike has been through the system correctly. At one time Q was thought to be of dubious heritage, but now it's expected. Some insurance companies seem to prefer it.

I'm more than happy to get a "Q" plate or any plate for that matter.
Even though the nice lady says I don't need a MOT I think I'll still do one just for a bit of peace of mind.
Hoping to get the registration plate as soon as possible as my insurance want photos and the number within 14 days.
P.S. If there is anyone here who lives around Norwich our local DVLA office closes in October, but the're not accepting mail from July 8th
